  • A Memorable Weekend in Atlanta: Gabriela’s Wedding and Family Adventures
    A Weekend of Celebration and Exploration in Atlanta This past weekend was one to remember as we gathered in Atlanta to celebrate my niece Gabriela’s wedding to Adam at the beautiful Governor’s Towne House in Acworth. Surrounded by family, love, and laughter, it was a perfect day filled with unforgettable moments. Beyond the wedding, we made the most of our trip—starting with a tennis match with my brother Juan at Dellinger Park, enjoying great meals at Pollo Primo and La Parrilla, and taking my parents to the Atlanta Breakfast Club for a classic Southern start to the day. We also explored some of Atlanta’s top attractions, from Coca-Cola World and the MLK Center to the Center for Puppetry Arts. Before wrapping up the trip, we strolled through Lenox Square Mall and capped off the weekend with a fantastic dinner at Bones. A weekend full of celebration, family, and adventure—Atlanta, you never disappoint!
  • A Great Visit to Calgary: Business, Meetings, and Memorable Meals
    Calgary never disappoints. My recent trip was a perfect mix of productive meetings and great dining experiences. From insightful discussions at the Calgary Petroleum Club and TC Energy to excellent meals at Tandoori Grill, Buchanan’s, and Salt Lick, every moment was well spent. Staying at The Westley Hotel and enjoying breakfasts at Fonda Grill made the trip even better. It’s always great to be back in Calgary, a city that continues to be a key hub for business and a pleasure to visit.

    “Beads flying through the air, the rhythm of Zydeco music filling the streets, and the rich aroma of Cajun cuisine—Mardi Gras in Lafayette was a whirlwind of culture and celebration. From indulging in Darrell’s legendary po’ boys to exploring the wild beauty of Avery Island and cheering at the Dynamo vs. Inter Miami game, our weekend was packed with unforgettable moments. Whether sipping coffee at Rêve or savoring seafood gumbo at Prejean’s, every bite and every experience made this trip one for the books. Laissez les bons temps rouler!”
  • Indianapolis is a city full of surprises and my recent trip there proved just that. It was a short visit but one packed with interesting experiences, great food, and a touch of nostalgia.
    Indianapolis may have been a short stop but it packed a punch. From the convenience of United’s Go Fly lounge to a nostalgic visit to the Hoosier Gym on the day Gene Hackman passed away, every moment felt meaningful. A scenic drive through Indiana led to great meals at The Library and No. 9 Grill, a productive meeting in Connersville, and unexpected history lessons at the airport—where I found an Indy sports car, a letter from Lincoln, and a note from Johnny Cash. It was a brief trip, but one filled with memorable experiences.

    The journey began with stops at the United Lounges in Houston and Denver—always a good way to get some work done and grab a quick refreshment before the next leg of the trip. Upon arriving in Casper, I made my way to Frank’s for a well-earned steak dinner. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. There’s something about a perfectly cooked steak after a long day of travel that makes all the difference.

    Sun, Sand, and Flavor: A Pensacola Getaway Our trip to Pensacola, Florida, was the perfect blend of relaxation, history, and incredible food. We spent time soaking up the sun at Johnson Beach, with its pristine white sand and calm Gulf waters, before stepping back in time at Fort Barrancas, where we explored historic tunnels and scenic views of Pensacola Bay. To top it off, we indulged in a mouthwatering rodízio feast, savoring endless cuts of perfectly grilled Brazilian meats. From beachside serenity to rich history and unforgettable flavors, Pensacola proved to be a hidden gem on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

    A Taste of Thailand and Malaysia: A Journey Through Culture and Cuisine My recent adventure through Thailand and Malaysia was a whirlwind of vibrant cities, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable flavors. After a quick layover in Tokyo, I landed in Bangkok, where the energy of the city was electric. From exploring the bustling MBK Center to relaxing in Rayong and soaking in the beauty of Nongnooch Pattaya Garden, Thailand offered a perfect mix of culture and coastal charm. Next, I headed to Kuala Lumpur, where the towering Petronas Twin Towers and the sacred Batu Caves left me in awe. The highlight? Sampling sambal street food, packed with bold Malaysian flavors. A visit to The Gardens Mall wrapped up the journey with a taste of modern luxury. This trip was a feast for the senses—stunning sights, rich traditions, and mouthwatering dishes at every turn. Southeast Asia never fails to amaze, and I can’t wait to return!

    Our recent adventure was a perfect mix of thrills, magic, and relaxation! We kicked things off at Universal Studios, where we braved epic rides and immersed ourselves in the Wizarding World. Then, we stepped into Disney Hollywood Studios, where Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land brought our favorite stories to life. The highlight of the trip was setting sail on the Disney Wish with the Rayburn family, enjoying world-class dining, Broadway-style shows, and a relaxing stop at Castaway Cay. We ended our journey with the breathtaking Drawn to Life at Disney Springs, a Cirque du Soleil masterpiece that celebrated Disney animation in the most spectacular way.     From the bustling streets of Calgary to the breathtaking peaks of Banff and beyond, our journey through the Canadian Rockies was an unforgettable blend of adventure and relaxation. We dined high above the city at Major Tom, rode the Banff Gondola for panoramic mountain views, and explored iconic sights like Lake Louise, Peyto Lake, and the Fairmont Banff Springs. Thrill-seekers in our group braved the Golden Skybridge, while a scenic lunch in Golden provided the perfect mid-trip recharge. Staying in Canmore gave us a peaceful retreat amid the towering peaks, making every moment of this trip a perfect mix of nature, luxury, and exploration.

    A Capital Adventure: Exploring Washington, DC Our trip to Washington, DC, was a deep dive into history, culture, and unforgettable experiences. From standing beneath the towering Washington Monument to exploring the vast collections of the Smithsonian museums, every moment was filled with awe. We paid our respects at the Holocaust Museum, wandered through the Library of Congress, and marveled at the treasures in the National Archives. Evenings were just as memorable, with a stunning Riverdance performance and delicious meals at iconic DC restaurants. Whether strolling through Georgetown, visiting Arlington Cemetery, or enjoying coffee in Dupont Circle, this trip was a perfect blend of reflection, discovery, and adventure.
  • A Memorable Christmas in Utah: Snow, Food, and Family Fun
    Our Christmas in Utah was filled with adventure, great food, and quality time with family. We kicked off the fun with tubing at Soldier Hollow, racing down snowy hills with stunning mountain views. Tennis matches at Cottonwood Tennis Club and Park City Rec Center kept us active, while incredible meals at Hires, Red Iguana, Aker, Top Pot, and Rubi’s satisfied every craving. We also cheered on the Utah Utes women’s basketball team and enjoyed drinks at Asher Adams. But the best part? Spending time with family in Sugarhouse, Holladay, and beyond—making memories that will last a lifetime.

    Our recent Disney Fantasy cruise was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were immersed in Disney’s signature charm—spectacular shows, world-class dining, and endless adventure. One of the highlights was our stop in Progreso, Mexico, where we took a day trip to the beautiful city of Mérida. Strolling through its historic streets, admiring colonial architecture, and indulging in authentic Yucatecan cuisine made for an unforgettable experience. Whether onboard or exploring new destinations, this cruise was a perfect blend of relaxation, excitement, and family fun.
  • Disneyland and Coldplay
    A weekend filled with magic, music, and memories—our family embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Disneyland and California Adventure, experiencing the thrill of our favorite rides and the wonder of Disney’s immersive worlds. From piloting the Millennium Falcon to watching World of Color light up the night, every moment was pure joy. But the grand finale was yet to come—Coldplay at the Rose Bowl. Under a sky full of stars, surrounded by thousands of glowing wristbands and the sound of Chris Martin’s voice, we ended the trip on a high note, singing along to anthems that will stay with us forever.”

    During my trip to Peru, I was captivated by the country’s stunning natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. From the bustling streets of Lima to the ancient wonders of Machu Picchu, each destination offered a unique experience. In the Sacred Valley, I marveled at the terraced hills and learned about Inca traditions that have been preserved for centuries. The hike to Machu Picchu was nothing short of transformative—standing on those ancient stones, with the mist swirling around the mountains, I felt connected to the past in a way I hadn’t anticipated. Along the way, I tasted the delicious flavors of Peruvian cuisine, from ceviche in the coastal city to the comforting heartiness of Andean stews. Peru is a place that leaves an indelible mark on the soul, and I can’t wait to return to explore even more of its hidden gems.

    A European Adventure: From Scotland to Spain Our recent trip across Europe was nothing short of spectacular. We started in Scotland, exploring the historic streets of Edinburgh, where highlights included the Scottish Museum, Mary King’s Close, and the lively Royal Mile. We then ventured through Stirling and Oban, taking in the breathtaking views of Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, and the Wallace Monument, before heading to Glasgow for a deep dive into the city’s museums, street art, and cultural gems. From there, we soaked in the charm of the Lake District, spent time in the medieval city of York, and explored the rich Roman history of Bath before immersing ourselves in the bustling atmosphere of London. Whether it was visiting Westminster Abbey, Churchill’s War Rooms, or catching an enchanting river cruise, the city’s vibrant energy was unforgettable. The journey continued with a flight to Aberdeen, where we enjoyed the Wizard of Oz musical, followed by a quick stop in Madrid, where we indulged in flamenco and Spanish cuisine. Our last destinations included Montpellier, France, and Amsterdam, where we visited the Anne Frank House and strolled along the canals, bringing our adventure to a perfect close. Each city left us with incredible memories, and we can’t wait to return!
  • Portland/Seattle
    A Taste of the Pacific Northwest: Portland & Seattle Adventure Our recent trip to Portland and Seattle was an unforgettable mix of stunning landscapes, incredible food, and vibrant city experiences. We started in Portland, indulging in the famous Southern comfort food at Screen Door – Pearl before taking a scenic drive to Canon Beach, where the breathtaking coastline and Haystack Rock left us in awe. Along the way, we explored Cape Disappointment Lighthouse and enjoyed fresh seafood in Astoria before heading to Seattle for the next leg of our journey. In Seattle, we immersed ourselves in the city’s energy—wandering through Pike Place Market, taking in skyline views from the Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour, and experiencing the hidden history of Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour. Evenings were filled with rooftop drinks at The Mountaineering Club and an electrifying Benise performance. We also visited the Seattle Aquarium, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Space Needle, and the Museum of Pop Culture, wrapping up our adventure with a seafood feast at Salty’s. This trip was a perfect blend of coastal beauty, cultural experiences, and culinary delights—and we can’t wait to return!
  • Dubai
    Dubai is a city of contrasts—where towering skyscrapers meet ancient souks, and adrenaline-fueled adventures blend seamlessly with luxurious relaxation. From the breathtaking views atop the Burj Khalifa to the vibrant marine life at the Aquarium, every moment felt surreal. Racing across the water on a jet ski, watching the mesmerizing Burj Khalifa Fountain Show, and indulging in Italian flavors at Carluccio’s made for a perfect first day. Exploring the Spice and Gold Souks, conquering the dunes on a thrilling desert safari, and wandering through the immersive world of Global Village were unforgettable highlights. And of course, no trip would be complete without the high-speed thrills of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. Dubai left me in awe, and I can’t wait to return for another adventure!

    Stepping into Oxford felt like entering a living museum—centuries of history woven seamlessly into a vibrant, modern city. My visit to the Bodleian Library was nothing short of magical, surrounded by towering bookshelves and the quiet hum of knowledge. Evenings were spent indulging in incredible food, from flavorful Indian dishes to a perfectly crafted gyro, and a refined meal at Brasserie Blanc. But the true highlight? An unforgettable night at the New Oxford Theatre, where The Transatlantic Sessions filled the air with soul-stirring melodies. Add in a stay at The Malmaison, a former prison turned boutique hotel, and some retail therapy at Westgate Oxford, and it was the perfect getaway. I can’t wait to return—hopefully in warmer weather!
