A Christmas to Remember in San Antonio

This Christmas was extra special because Tanya’s family came down to spend the holidays with us. It was one of those trips where nothing felt rushed and everything revolved around being together, laughing, eating well and making memories that will stay with us for years.

We spent a few days in San Antonio by starting with simple pleasures. Walking along the River Walk during Christmas time is always a treat. The lights, decorations, and festive atmosphere made it the perfect place to slow down, talk, and truly enjoy being together as a family.

One of the highlights of the trip was our day at SeaWorld San Antonio. We arrived early and made a stop at the outdoor shopping area at La Cantera, where we walked around, did a little shopping, and enjoyed the fresh air before heading into the park.

At SeaWorld, we filled the day with rides, roller coasters, and shows. The kids did an impressive job managing some of the rougher rides and handled them like pros. The Christmas themed shows were a big highlight, especially the killer whale show featuring the orcas. It was festive, beautifully done, and truly captured the spirit of the season. You could tell everyone was enjoying themselves.

The following day, we drove back home, making the always anticipated stop at Buc-ee’s along the way. Snacks, laughs, and one last stretch before finishing the drive made it feel like part of the tradition.

All in all it was a wonderful Christmas. San Antonio gave us great food, fun experiences, and the perfect setting for quality family time. More than anything, it was about being together and enjoying the moment. A holiday we will always remember fondly.
