A Magical Family Getaway to Xcaret Hotel Mexico

Our trip to Xcaret Hotel México was one of those vacations that stays with you long after you return home. From the moment we arrived everything felt thoughtfully designed to celebrate nature culture and family time. It was relaxing and adventurous all at once which is a rare combination.

Food Worth the Trip Alone

The restaurants were outstanding. Every meal felt intentional and beautifully prepared. Fresh seafood rich regional flavors and creative presentations made each dining experience memorable. There were options for everyone including the kids and somehow every restaurant managed to feel special without being overwhelming. I will be honest I enjoyed the food a little too much and I am still working off the extra weight from that trip.

Exploring the Parks and Resorts

One of the best parts of staying at Xcaret is the access to so many incredible parks. We spent time at Xel-Há floating through crystal clear rivers and soaking in the sunshine. We visited Pueblo and Los Enses which added a charming cultural and natural contrast to the trip. Each place felt different but connected by the same sense of wonder.

Swimming through the cenotes and natural rivers was unforgettable. The cool water winding through lush jungle was peaceful and exciting at the same time. It was the kind of experience where everyone slows down looks around and just enjoys being together.

An Unforgettable Night at Xcaret

One evening we went to Xcaret Park for dinner and the night show. The performance was absolutely amazing. The music the colors and the storytelling brought Mexican history and culture to life in a powerful way. The kids were mesmerized and so were the adults. It was one of those nights where everyone agreed it was truly special.

We laughed we ate well and we shared an experience that felt meaningful not rushed. The kids had a fantastic night and honestly so did we.

Until Next Time

As we headed home we all agreed on one thing. We hope to make it back one day soon. Xcaret Hotel Mexico gave us memories full of adventure relaxation and family connection. Next time I may pace myself a bit more at the restaurants but then again some trips are meant to be enjoyed fully.

A Whirlwind Business Trip to Casper, Wyoming

Business travel often comes with its fair share of excitement, exhaustion, and unexpected adventures. My recent trip to Casper, Wyoming, to meet with Engineered Equipment Inc. was no exception. From airport lounges to great food and a mad dash through Denver, this trip had it all.

The journey began with stops at the United Lounges in Houston and Denver—always a good way to get some work done and grab a quick refreshment before the next leg of the trip. Upon arriving in Casper, I made my way to Frank’s for a well-earned steak dinner. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. There’s something about a perfectly cooked steak after a long day of travel that makes all the difference.

After dinner, I decided to unwind with a game of poker, enjoying the local scene before calling it a night. The next morning, breakfast at the Hilton came with an unexpected highlight—the server’s homemade green salsa. It had just the right kick and was a great way to start the day.

Before heading to my meeting, I stopped by the Blue Ribbon for a solid cup of coffee. There’s nothing quite like a good local coffee shop to set the tone for a productive day. Lunch was at HQ Southern BBQ, where the flavors were as bold as the conversation. A great spot for a final meal before hitting the road.

Then came the sprint. My return trip started with a mad dash to the Casper airport, only to find myself in an all-out 25-minute run through the Denver airport to catch my connecting flight to Houston. Just what you need after a full day of meetings and travel.

I’ll be arriving back home at midnight, finally crawling into my bed around 1:30 AM. The best part? I get to wake up in my own home on Friday instead of spending another full day traveling. It’s always good to get out and meet with partners, but nothing beats coming home after a trip like this.

Casper, you were a whirlwind. Until next time!
